Wow…congratulations. I’ve spent the last hour looking through all the material connected to Flashlight Press. I’m inspired and overwhelmed.
I worked as an illustrator for a Mennonite children’s magazine called Story Friends. (They are no longer in circulation) I’ve written many children’s books and illustrated them all, and almost got published with ZonderKids once. When my hubby got sick and later died, I lost my way in the world of children’s storybooks.(and everywhere else) Now I just don’t know where to start. Getting my website going has been the first step (a work in process). Oh the maize of it all.

Marji! I am so glad you stopped by. I had a wonderful time checking out your website yesterday. I hope you will jump back into the world of kid’s books and magazines! I remember Story Friends! I didn’t realize they had gone out of business. I bet your artwork is beautiful!
If you are interested, check out Write2ignite.com. We are having a writing conference for Christians who write for kids. Our conference is in MArch of this year near Greenville SC. I know you are in NY and that’s a long way to go. Also, you can apply for a scholarship to cover the cost of the conference. I would love to meet you in person!
