writing for children

for the kid in me

Inspired by Kenn Nesbitt’s, “My Brother’s not a Werewolf”. Hope you enjoy.

Tale of the WeirdoWolf
By Donna Earnhardt

He transformed in the daytime
avoiding moonlit nights
He cringed at his own shadow,
fear brought him no delight

He was a vegetarian.
He loved to draw and paint.
And when he’d howl,
No one was cowed*,
Except for him…

He’d faint.

*cow (verb): intimidate http://www.learnersdictionary.com/definition/cow and http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cow
