What can I say about the Write2Ignite conference?
To put it simply… Write2Ignite ROCKED.
We returned home around midnight Saturday, exhausted. I crawled in bed and enjoyed the comfy stillness of it all. Wow. What a blessing. What a whirlwind. What a conference!
I am stuffed with much wonderful information, new friendships and new opportunities. I just might bust! A few highlights for now – but I’ll be sharing more as the weeks go on.
Nancy Lohr – acquisitions editor at JourneyForth Books – WOW! This wonderful lady led a group session and generously offered to email her presentation info/powerpoint info to anyone who asked. She is NOT looking for picture books – but she is looking for chapter books.
Vonda Skelton – hilarious and wise. If you’ve never heard her – you are missing out. She is petite in stature…but has a giant presence on stage.
Jonathan Friesen – He watered a room of 25 thirsty teens with his writing wisdom. They lapped up EVERY drop! My daughter is one of those teens and is on a writing “kick” now. (I’m a VERY happy mama.)
Sean Earnhardt – This wonderful man (my handsome hubby) was our conference photographer. He captured fabulous facial expressions, extraordinary speakers in motion and the gorgeous campus that is NGU. (He did a lot more than just take pictures, though, he provided encouragement all weekend. More on that in a later post!)
I am still processing all the wonderful stuff from this past weekend. I want to share it all…but it takes time. I want to share more about our presenters and attendees…so bear with me in the coming weeks as I share what I received. I can hardly wait!
