It’s a new year…and a new contest!
Here are the rules:
1. All entries must be left in the comment section on the NEW contest page. You can find it HERE.
2. The contest starts today and ends January 20th.
*3. A winner and runner-up will be chosen and announced January 22nd. *
4. Write a poem in any form/structure you desire, but you must use one of the following phrases or words somewhere in your entry. It can be the title of the poem, the beginning line, the ending, a phrase found in the middle. But you have to use at least one of them. If you can find a way to use more than one, more power to ya! 🙂 Here are the prompts:
I never kissed a frog because…
Flowers are overrated
Life ain’t nowhere near perfect but…
The princess in me
A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose…
In the _____ year of my boring life… (you choose the year)
Freedom
These are not easy prompts, I know. But they are meant to stretch us and make us think outside of the box.
Remember, too, this is a family friendly blog. Play nice! 🙂
One more thing — Please share this contest with your friends. You don’t increase your chances of winning by advertising it, but you will get a big ol’ cyber hug from me. That’s got to be worth something! 🙂
*PRIZE FOR THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON!*
